My Students
I work at the best dual language elementary school. Our students have school pride that is contagious. We are a family like no other. Our school is located in an inner-city neighborhood surrounded by low-income housing.
We are a school that is academically and culturally diverse.
We pride ourselves in helping students from all ends of the academic spectrum. It is our goal to let students know that they are wanted, welcomed, and needed at our school every day.
My Project
Technology is critical for innovation, yet some schools struggle to get students interested in this area. We are introducing STEM to our young students. In order to get everyone involved in STEM, we are hosting our annual Family Science Night near the end of the year.
Our goal is to engage families in the interactive world of science.
Having families working together to build and design a small robot in one of the classrooms is a key part to getting everybody excited about STEM. Getting parents involved is key to making sure their children stay involved. Our families will see that learning about robots is fun, hands-on, and is suitable for every child with any range of academic ability.
