My Students

My students are in Second Grade. They include English Language Learners, Reclassified Els, and English Language Only students, and some of my students receive Special Education and Resource services. All students at my school receive free breakfast in the classroom and free lunch.

Due to COVID-19, we will be starting our school year online, and I want to make sure they have the materials they will need to be successful.

My students will have devices provided by the school if needed, but there are many other tools they will need in order to learn from the safety of their homes. I hope to be able to provide my students with these needed resources so that we can make the best use of our time together and they can be successful in their distance learning.

My Project

This iPad, together with the tablet mount and other accessories, will serve as a document camera to enhance the live and pre-recorded instruction I provide to my students while they are distance learning at home.

I will use these tools to model reading skills and math strategies for my students even when we cannot be together in the classroom.

Second Grade students cannot be expected to learn solely on a computer, so I plan to provide consumable journals and workbooks in which they can practice their skills with paper and pencil. When I need to show them a page or demonstrate a problem solving strategy, I will be able to use the iPad and tablet mount to record this important instruction.
