Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students speak mainly Spanish ranging from ages 5-9. They are from a low income city. They are adorable, sweet children that enjoy learning and do the best they can each day. Since they speak Spanish, learning English is their goal. I have multiple students who do not speak ANY English at all, and some who have came a long way in only one year. We all have room for improvements and I am working on making them be the best they can at all time.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting will go to great use with all of my English language learners. The materials will improve their school life by giving them more hands on activities that they can learn from. The magnetic letters will help them learn the letters of the alphabet and sound out words. The seat sacks will be used to store all of their belongings and centers that are on the level. The multi-cutural books will show the students that they are not different, in fact they are the same as any other child. The donations to my project will help shape and mold my students to become better readers, learners, and speakers of the English language.
