Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from bilingual households and receive free or reduced-price lunches. They are excited to be back inside the classroom and have an opportunity to socialize with their peers. Unfortunately, they continue to face many educational obstacles. I would like to give them the tools and support needed to fill in the gaps caused by in-house learning.

The current school year continues to be challenging even after returning back to the classroom.

Often the root of the problem has been frustration with learning new technology compounded with not having adequate tools to transition into remote learning. Regardless, their intrinsic motivation and my persistence have made it possible to see everyone gradually grow emotionally and academically.

As we approach the middle of the school year, I want to continue helping all my students reach their full potential. With your generous donation, I hope to achieve my goals and prepare my students for a successful high school transition.

My Project

A Cricut will make it possible for me to create an inspirational and inviting environment for my students. Often it is not what is said that inspires a person but how your surroundings make you feel. I plan to use this material to create classroom signs/ banners to inspire my students into becoming future scientists and engineers.

My classroom materials within my school limit me to printing paper and colored pencils, and unfortunately, this is not enough to create the type of inspiration my students need.

Please help me make this school year a memorable one for my students!
