My Project

I teach a diverse group of artistic students at a Title I visual and performing arts school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come to our school from all over the city to our public high school to receive a top notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual or theater) and go on to study at some of the top academic colleges and art schools across the country.

With the introduction of Yondr pouches to support a cell phone school day at our school- this Cricut Machine and accessories will allow my students to express their creativity by creating removable graphics unique to their assigned pouch.

I am requesting a Cricut Maker machine and crafting accessories for use in my classroom and throughout the school. The addition of this piece of instructional technology will be an amazing opportunity for my students. My first project with students will be to create a Maker Space where students can create removable stickers with their original artistic designs that can be adhered to the pouch that will house their cell phone.

In my science classroom, students will be able to use the Cricut with adhesive vinyl to create and embellish presentation boards to communicate their scientific learning in classroom investigations and when completing Science Fair projects.

Lastly, we will use the Cricut Maker to design repositionable positive messages for the hallways and bathrooms which will help our entire school! Thank you for your consideration!
