My Students

My students are 2nd and 3rd grade students from New York City in a Special Education class. They are hard working, happy students. My students come from low-income families and need every advantage they can get. They face many challenges outside of school, but they work hard in school to succeed.

They have the smarts and the motivation to be the best; let's give them the materials.

I want to ensure my students have all the necessary tools to compete in our challenging world.

My Project

My students like to read; I want them to love it! I would love to give them a nice plush rug with comfortable bean bags to relax on. I want them to value reading and make it as enjoyable as it can be.

It would be amazing to see them curl up and get lost in a book.

It's so much more pleasant to read when you are comfortable as opposed to a hard desk and chair. And, as always, we need a few basic supplies. It's about that time of year when we need everything! I'm asking for pencils, a pencil sharpener, colored copy paper, tape, and a laminator.
