This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom needs a new cozy place to sit! I have had my classroom rug for a few year and it's run it's time in my busy fourth grade classroom! I will be moving with my group of students to 5th grade next year and they are excited to continue learning and growing. I want to start the new school year with a fresh clean carpet that is new and just for them!

A new rug will provide students with a comfortable place to sit rather than desks and chairs.

One thing that students love and really enjoy about my classroom is the opportunity for flexible seating. We use the rug a lot throughout the day! Whether we are doing our phonics lesson, playing Uno, or taking a relaxing yoga break, my students are constantly using the classroom carpet. A classroom rug will benefit students' learning by allowing them to feel comfortable and allow for flexible seating. It would mean so much to me and my students to start our year fresh!
