Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I strive to create a calming, clean, and bookish environment where students feel safe, focused, and inspired to learn.

To achieve this, I am requesting essential materials that will enhance both the learning atmosphere and classroom functionality.

A desk chair is crucial for me as a teacher. I spend long hours planning, grading, and working with students one-on-one. A supportive chair will help me stay comfortable and focused, allowing me to be fully present for my students throughout the day.

Student rewards are a powerful motivator, encouraging engagement, effort, and positive behavior. Small incentives can make a big difference in fostering a classroom culture where students take pride in their work and accomplishments.

A classroom clock is a basic necessity that we currently lack. Having a visible clock will help students develop time management skills, transition smoothly between activities, and gain independence in tracking their own schedules.

An Amazon Alexa will serve multiple purposes in our classroom. It will allow me to set timers for activities, provide calming background music to enhance focus, and serve as a tool for quick fact-checking and engagement in discussions.
