This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my first year teaching third grade, and I am absolutely loving the conversations and curriculum it brings! We are requesting Lakeshore Meet the Standards Force & Motion Kit and a Mini Fridge. Since concepts are getting more complex, there are many reasons for needing a small fridge and some hands-on science kits in the classroom!

My students this year have such creative ideas for experiments, and with your help, we can make their dreams a reality!

Science was always one of my favorite subjects in school and it is because of all the fun and memorable experiments we got to do! I want to do for my students what my inspiring teachers did for me! Lots of times the most engaging lessons require ice or other items that need a cooler temperature. With a mini-fridge and science kits in the classroom, it will really open a world of possibilities!

It also doesn't hurt that with a fridge, I will be able to store some cooler treats for the hotter, upcoming months. It is always important to positively reinforce good, hard-working behavior and these kiddos definitely deserve it!
