This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For this project, I am requesting an Apple Desktop Mac Mini that can handle the increasing and changing needs of the art room. As technology advanced, so does our needs to have a computer hub that can keep up with the projects and ideas of my art students. Very often, one of my kiddos has enthusiasm and excitement to develop an artwork, yet we can accomplish these ideas without the right computer. I would like to create a central hub that students can hook up gadgets including, but not limited to: cameras, Cricut machines, and 3d printers. This will allow artists to feel better and more secure in their artistic pursuits and more engaged in art making. We will always need more computers as the skill set and needs of our young people keep evolving. There are many jobs that require these skills and confidence in my students in this type of work can open new career paths for many.
