My Students

We need space to sit on the rug without getting in each other's way.

We are typical Kindergarten students who love to move.

We are a Title One school. We need a rich array of experiences to support our learning environment. We sing, we dance, all while learning our letters, sounds, and numbers. Our current rug leaves us little space.

My Project

A new rug would simply give us a clean spacious place to learn. We would have a personal space of our own for listening to stories. Our teacher really likes to get us up and move on the rug but we don't have enough room. The rug in our classroom does not provide an inviting opportunity to learn.

Movement and space are crucial to early childhood learning.

The rug we currently have is over 8 years old and has lost its luster. The children are crowded on a small rug and simply do not have their own personal space. A new rug will give the children their own spot and an opportunity for movement.
