This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The items that I am requesting will further the comfortable environment I seek to foster in my room. The reading couch will be a wonderful addition that will be functional and easily cleaned in a classroom as well. This along with the floor cushions and pillows will give my students options around the room to read, do their work in free spaces, and learn how they feel comfortable.

Students, especially upper elementary, still love coming to the carpet for mini lessons if there are more “older” feeling choices to learn at.

This project would fulfill that and give more flexible seating options.
