Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to read, but they often have trouble finding the types of books they enjoy. They constantly tell me they would borrow more books from my classroom library if there were more graphic novels and scary stories.

They also like to be comfortable and relaxed when they read, so I thought they would appreciate some soft bean bag chairs instead of sitting on a carpet which may or may not have been vacuumed the night before.

I can also envision teaching some small group lessons on the bean bag chairs.
