Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am currently the Yoga and Mindfulness teacher a Public School in Corona, New York. I am teaching yoga and mindfulness techniques to students ages 4-11 years old. The students love practicing yoga using yoga mats, however, when practicing mindfulness techniques, students have difficulty maintaining the correct seated posture.

The Deluxe Sit-Upons will help students sit in a comfortable position while maintaining an aligned spine and posture.

The Sit-Upons will improve students focus, attention, and physical alignment.

My goal for this project is to provide all students with a comfortable and safe space for them to reconnect with their body, breath and mind. My students are very smart, curious, eager and receptive to learning new ways to calm their body and mind. Therefore, providing them with mindfulness techniques, gives them the tools to self-regulate their feelings and emotions. Giving them the appropriate supplies to aid in their self-healing journey will benefit their overall physical and mental health.
