Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my first-grade class we celebrate diversity, support each other and build a community based in mutual respect. All my children have different interests which are shown every time they can during all the different activities in which we work every day. For example, some of them prefer reading over writing and vice versa while others find easier to work with math problems, however, most of them like expressing themselves trough drawings and art crafts.

I always do my best to motivate my students to be in full disposition to learn and reach their goals every day, in my classroom we praise every achievement, no matter how big or little it may be in order to encourage every student to improve academically and emotionally.

My Project

In order to support and motivate my student during my lessons I would like to provide eye catching supplies that will help me get them involved, supplies such as magnetic erasable boards will allow me to work on exemplars to incentive independence and autonomous learning in my children, a chronometer I choose will help them understand the concept of time and will show them that every minute in class is highly valuable. I already created materials for a pocket chart which will improve our independent writing sessions as they would clearly identify each word and their place in a sentence; I also find this chart useful during distance learning.

An organized and vivid classroom would provide my students a friendly environment which may make them feel eager to learn every time they walk in into their class.

By donating for this project, you will help a lot of children achieve their academic and social emotional goals as well as increase their motivation so they can see school from a positive perspective.
