Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students enter the classroom each day ready to learn but their little feet track a lot of debris. Art projects can be fun and engaging but they leave traces of paper, glitter, sticker peels, etc. everywhere in the room. Pieces of nature are brought inside the classroom like twigs, grass, leaves, sand, or soil. Sometimes, unwanted things make it inside as well like pieces of deicing material or even tiny pieces of broken glass that get incrusted in the soles of boots and sneakers as they walk outside.

The sweeper will help clean up any spilled materials from art projects or any other debris that makes it inside the classroom past the scraper mats I'm requesting in this project.

Keeping a preschool classroom clean is a challenge on its own. The supplies I'm requesting in this project can help maintain a clean and healthy environment for my students to learn and grow.
