Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious and inquisitive seventh and eighth graders at a Title 1 public school in West Michigan. I see each of them each day for Social Studies, and they are so passionate about learning about the world around them. We work every day to expand our worldview and our understanding of world history so that we can understand how our history impacts our lives today and in the future.

As we prepare for what learning will look like in a post-pandemic world where COVID remains a very real threat, it is important that we are keeping our bodies healthy and our classrooms clean.

For this reason, I have requested several items that will help us achieve that goal. The hand sanitizer will help clean our hands after we sneeze, use a tissue, or touch shared supplies. The Kleenex will help us make sure we have enough tissues during the sniffly cold and flu season. Finally, the sanitizing wipes will help us disinfect surfaces in between classes.
