This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My school has a great family community and teachers enjoy the students. I love to open up my classroom and make it feel like my students' second home. I want my students to feel comfortable and safe in my classroom. My students who will be joining me this school year are the students that I taught when I was a kindergarten teacher, so I am excited to see their learning growth and all the great things we can do in the classroom. They are an eager bunch that's ready to learn. I need them to feel welcome in the classroom so a new rug and pillows will help a whole lot.
