Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom of about 23 students come from diverse backgrounds. Many of them are learners who need space to move and sitting at desks all day doesn’t cut it for them. They need movement and a place where they can sit together or where I can teach whole classroom lessons in a different spot in the room to help break up the day more.

My school during the pandemic got rid of all the classroom rugs.

They literally threw them away. All classroom teachers are in need of classroom rugs now, especially if you didn't have a personal one to save from previous years.

Some of my fondest memories of learning took place on a classroom carpet. I want to bring this back for the kids so they get to build their own memories on a beautiful, nature-themed rug that has plenty of space for all of them to sit.
