My students are DLI Spanish students in grades 7 and 8. They are very enthusiastic and motivated, but they also struggle with their language skills due to how Covid-19 impacted the lessons. I want the best for them and I think this project can be a tremendous help!
My Project
My Spanish DLI students are struggling with different language skills. The library books will be used in the classroom for reading, summarizing, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar... but also at home as they will be able to borrow them and further their learning. I have also included a BrainPOP subscription in Spanish because it is educational and informative. It will provide our classroom with an extra tool for listening and speaking about current topics.
A classroom library in Spanish will be a tremendous help for them.
They are motivated and hard-working and they will enjoy reading all the books and comics.
I am convinced that this library will be fundamental for their learning after the struggles they have faced learning Spanish during the pandemic.
