My Students

All the way from Philadelphia, PA! My 4th graders are a group of eager learners ready for new adventures! 25 individuals who are charismatic, fantastic, and full of life are just a few ways to describe my students. Small school setting for students coming from low income households who qualify for the free lunch program.

I am beyond excited for their learning, and personally strive to make learning enjoyable!

My goal in my classroom is to provide students both academically and socially with skills for them to be a success in and out the classroom. Students are ready and willing to learn when the learning environment is made enjoyable.

My Project

iPads in classrooms have a positive effect on the development of student literacy and numeracy skills. Moreover, it shows that the use of these devices enhanced student’s communication skills!

iPads are an amazing way to connect.

The iPad can be taken outside. For teachers to take their students outside during warm days to sit and enjoy the sun, this can give a joyful class a new meaning!

The iPad builds skills. By using an iPad, students can learn typing, multi-touch navigation, problem-solving (with puzzles and games) and many other skills.

One important skill for students to learn is public speaking. iPads and other tablets make excellent tools for both creating and delivering effective presentations. Many fantastic apps created for tablets can be used to seamlessly integrate documents, PowerPoint like slide shows, videos, images, and even custom apps into presentations. Students can do real-time drawing, writing, and animation providing an interactive experience. Flexibility is also a benefit, as students are able to circle, highlight and write in important points during their presentation.
