My Project

My students are a fun group of 2nd graders with big emotions, and they are learning how to express themselves. The tools I'm requesting- a portable desk, throw pillows, sensory tools, a cozy rug, and other resources will give them a comfortable area and what they need to develop their social-emotional well-being.

My goal is for them to have a calming space to learn how to manage their emotions and be calm.

These resources will create an environment where they will feel safe to practice calming strategies. They need to understand it's okay to get upset but they also need to learn how to monitor and regulate their emotions. Students will be more successful and have better learning outcomes when they feel good about themselves.
