My Project

Students love coming to the library. It is important that all students feel safe and respected. Living in a post Covid world, is challenging.

I envision creating an area within the library where students are always welcome to come and decompress.

They will have the opportunity to sit on a soft and comfortable chair and engage with a variety of activities to help them calm down. They can listen to white noise or nature sounds. There will be a tapestry on the wall with positive affirmations. Students will have different types of items to use such as a Zen sand garden and a variety of fidgets to relieve stressful emotions. The goal is to give them some time to sit down and calm down so they can resume their learning.
