Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Social emotional development is an important part of student success.

I want to create a calming corner for my students with disabilities to support their emotional and sensory needs.

The sensory LED fish tube will provide a safe, soothing space where students can regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and refocus on learning. A calming corner with soothing materials will provide my students with a sense of security, which can be very beneficial for students with ASD or ADHD. This area will help students develop essential self-regulation and coping skills, and in turn, enhance their overall educational experience.
