Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love and they enjoy having a calming space in the room. At this very moment we practice calming mindfulness exercises as a class while they are at their desk. I would love to provide my students with a space in the classroom where they can just go and feel like their home. A place where they feel comfortable and welcoming. I want my students to be able to have that space to help them recharge and calm their minds. Having a calm space in our classroom will help my students learn as well as to regulate their emotions.

My students requires plenty of social emotional support due to their diverse learning styles and needs.

Having a calm space with the proper materials will give my students the opportunity to explore their sense of learning style, to learn how to identify their feelings, to learn different ways they can regulate those feelings. Having a clear mind and calm mind can better help my students to learn more in the classroom. Therefore, I need your support so that I can provide this spacial space in my classroom with the proper materials.
