Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These classroom decorations will help to create a calm learning environment for my students. Having a space designed to support students emotionally and physically helps them feel safe and comfortable, allowing them to let down their guard to process. Childhood trauma, adverse childhood experiences, or a diagnosed disability can impact the classroom environment and make learning more challenging.

Some of the decorations we need include a new bookshelf, a large rug, a chair, and a lamp to place in the classroom library space.

In today's world, the stressors of daily life can cause children to feel frustrated, overwhelmed, and anxious. In this classroom environment, students will feel like they are in a home away from home.
