My Students

Please make science come alive for the Kindergarten students at my school, literally, by helping us purchase live ladybugs and materials to learn about them!

These Kindergarten students attend a school in Southwest Virginia, in a high poverty area.

They begin the year at varying levels, with vastly different experiences, and we need many different materials so we may continue to challenge and interest all of them.

My Project

We need ladybugs and a habitat for them so we can watch them in their life transformations. The literature, writing materials, and puzzles will help engage students in multiple subject areas. The Eric Carle book, The Grouchy Ladybug, is a favorite of many students.

I am just beginning my career as a teacher.

Donations to my classroom will be used this year and hopefully for many, many years to come. The materials will be used whenever possible with other teachers and students in my grade level. By donating to my classroom, you will impact so many students who deserve to have incredible experiences their first year in school.
