My Project

I am about to go into my 14th year of teaching, and my first at this school. As a math teacher, I use my whiteboard frequently and with passion. Unfortunately, the white board in the room I've been assigned has seen better days. The current whiteboard is only about 6' long, takes up 1/3 of the wall, and is marked with tape in a way that renders it nearly unusable.

This project is simple: a new whiteboard for my new classroom.

In their math class, students will use the new whiteboard to solve complex problems collectively, visually representing mathematical concepts and processes. They can work through equations step by step, enabling me to provide real-time guidance and corrections as their teacher. This interactive tool will enhance students' comprehension of abstract math concepts, encourage active participation, and foster a collaborative learning environment that nurtures both individual and group problem-solving skills.
