My Project

March Madness is an exciting time for sports fans around the country... but it is even MORE exciting for our students at our Academy.

We have created a March Madness month long event to get the students excited and actively reading.

There is so much buzz and excitement with all the students.

In the month-long initiative each of our teachers picked a NCAA team to represent their classroom. We have divided the school into three brackets based on grade levels: kindergarten-second grade, third-fifth grade, and sixth-eighth grade. Every student is working towards scoring points for their classroom/team throughout the month. The grade with the highest points scored in their bracket will be the championship winners.

Our monthly activities include daily reading logs, spirit week, design jersey of your favorite book, decorating contest, buddy reading between the grade levels, and a book fair.

The project will go directly towards the three classrooms that win the March Madness reading competition. We are making a book that turned into a movie event to celebrate their efforts. Each bracket winner will select a book made into a movie to view together in our gym. Your generous donations will help us add to our students’ engagement and excitement with a complete room transformation for the event and provide a movie concession stand.
