My Students

I teach a group of amazing and curious third graders in South Jamaica, Queens. They are kind, inclusive, and eager to learn! My focus this year is to ensure that my students learning remotely, are getting the same quality education as the students learning in person.

My students are enthusiastic and dedicated, and motivate me to try to create new and exciting ways to keep them engaged.

They are stepping up and rising to the challenges that this year has presented. Help me, help them!

My Project

Reading is the key to success in elementary school. Reading helps students learn about new places, people, and things. A good book keeps students interested and engaged and wanting to learn more! These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy.

Students will be able to choose engaging books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent, partner, and guided reading time.

They will be able to choose books that are on their reading level. They will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more! I want to continue to watch my students grow into strong and curious readers. This project will help!
