Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom consists of 22 young minds who are eager and anxious to learn. The majority of these students are low income and ELL students. Some have never attended school and have little to no home experience with literacy. We want to provide them with materials that foster this love of learning. These children are drawn to books, their pictures, their stories, their messages. By funding this project, you will provide the gift of knowledge, the gift of literacy to 22 deserving children.
My Project
As a first year kindergarten teacher, I want my students to have it all. Not only do I want to provide them with all the tools that they need to succeed, but I also want them to learn to love reading and to love learning.
By providing books for our classroom, you will be giving these children the power of words and knowledge.
Books awaken the soul and allow us to travel to new places and experience new things. These kindergarteners are just stating off on their educational journey. What better way to nourish their minds then with some amazing new books.
