My Project
As a teacher, I strive to cultivate a love of reading in my students by providing them with engaging, meaningful literature. Our reading curriculum includes excerpts from chapter books, introducing students to exciting stories—but only in small pieces. Unfortunately, my students often don’t get the opportunity to experience these books in their entirety, missing out on the full depth of character development, plot twists, and the joy of completing a story from start to finish.
That’s why I am requesting class sets of chapter books that align with our curriculum.
By providing my students with the full versions of these books, I can immerse them in rich, high-quality literature that builds comprehension, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for reading. Rather than leaving them with unfinished stories, we can dive deeper into discussions about themes, character growth, and literary elements—key skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom.
Many of my students do not have access to a variety of books at home, so having complete novels available in class will make a significant impact. Your generous support will ensure that each student has a book in their hands, allowing them to experience the magic of a full story and develop the reading stamina necessary for future academic success.
Thank you for considering this project and for helping to foster a classroom of passionate, confident readers!
