Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Providing each student with a book is an essential step in supporting their academic success. For many students, having a book means having access to new vocabulary, improved reading comprehension, and a greater love for learning.

Books provide opportunities for students, particularly my English learners, to practice language skills in a fun and engaging way.

They learn that reading can be fun by being introduced to books on topics that they find interesting.

They can reinforce literacy skills, build confidence, and foster independence in learning. By having their own books, students also develop a sense of ownership over their education, which can inspire greater motivation and a stronger sense of accomplishment.
