Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The books that I am requesting for my students have been sourced out from the students themselves. We asked "What would you like to see most in this classroom?" and they asked for these non-fiction books! The series requested has a lot to teach kids about the non-fiction genre. The "Who is", "What is" and "Where is" book series is a great way to get kids about non-fiction texts. These book can teach children so much about the world around them. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful true texts.

By adding these books to our classroom, my students can begin to prepare themselves for their plunge into non-fiction reading.

By implementing the Reading Workshop model, my students will begin to see themselves as true readers engaged in the real world. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming life-long readers. As the teacher, I have done extensive research and reading Non-Fiction texts can help students become enthralled in reading when reading these engaging books. These books cover a variety of subjects to help my students along this life-long journey they will be taking.
