Help me give my students a birthday to remember. They love it when they are treated special on their birthday. My students would feel special with a Squishmallow and a few other small trinkets to help celebrate.
First graders love it when they feel special in class. They get so excited to celebrate their birthdays. When students feel special in class, they feel they are part of a community. Bringing a class together as a community increases their learning, their social skills, and their overall feeling of well being. This may seem silly or trivial, but to them this is their whole world for that day!
Please help me celebrate my students as individuals.
Their birthdays are a perfect way to celebrate just them. In a classroom it is sometimes difficult to single a student out. Their birthdays are so unique to each student, this is a perfect opportunity to make the day all about them. If a student's birthday is during the summer, I choose a day at the beginning of the school year to celebrate just that child. Please help me to give my students a "birthday to remember!"
