My Project
The students in my class are energetic, eager to learn, and always up to play. In order to teach them phonics skills, it is important to keep them engaged and interested and to offer them multiple opportunities to show what they know.
Alphabet sorting tubs are a wonderful way to give students the opportunity to develop their understanding of beginning letter sounds.
With dozens of small objects and toys that start with each letter of the alphabet, the students can build communication skills, sorting skills, and most importantly, their knowledge of letter-sound relationships. This would truly be an asset in my classroom!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
