This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my TK students and want to give them the very best start to their school journey. The items I’m requesting will provide daily opportunities for them to strengthen their fine motor skills. The foundation for writing, drawing, and independence. With activities like stringing beads, using tweezers, molding dough, and building with small pieces, mornings will be filled with fun and purpose.

These hands-on tools will help my students grow stronger, more confident, and ready to take on all the exciting challenges ahead.

In Transitional Kindergarten, fine motor development is one of the most important skills we focus on. Open-ended materials such as clay, loose parts, and building tools allow children to explore, create, and problem-solve while naturally strengthening the small muscles in their hands. These activities prepare them not only for future academic tasks like writing and cutting but also for the independence and confidence they’ll need throughout their school years.
