My Project

As a first year teacher, my project will promote positive classroom climate and instructional supports that will contribute to students academic success in eighth grade math and science.

Math is a complex puzzle, but gridded anchor charts and colorful markers make it easy to visually connect the pieces.

When frustrations arise, a calm corner filled with library books, a large fluffy rug, and bean bag chairs will be the center for restorative conversations and small group activities.

Colorful paper trays and borders will help differentiate between subject matters. Ensuring every student has their own double sided folder helps foster organizational skills and instill a sense of pride in preserving their hard work!
