Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are diagnosed with autism and other disabilities. They each face challenges brought on by their diagnosis every day and struggle to communicate. Most of my students come from low-income areas, get free lunch and some even use devices to communicate. Despite their disabilities, they strive and work hard every single day and come in with big smiles on their faces, eager, and ready to learn. My students are each very special in their own ways and I am determined to do whatever I can to help meet their unique needs.

My Project

The majority of our students have been learning from home since March 2020. We would have never imagined their last year of middle school to be like this. Most of them have been with us since kindergarten.

We would like to give them the send-off that they deserve and worked so hard for.

These kids have adapted to this new normal and learned to navigate technology in ways we would have never thought they could. Your donations will help us give students a nice and safe socially distanced graduation celebration.
