My Project
The books I’m requesting will make a significant impact on my students’ reading lives by allowing them to finish beloved series like The Candy Shop War, Ranger’s Apprentice: The Royal Ranger, and The Legacy of Orisha. Completing these series fosters a sense of accomplishment and keeps students deeply engaged with the characters and worlds they love. When they can follow the full journey of a story, they experience the richness of plot development, character growth, and thematic depth—skills that enhance their critical thinking and comprehension, all while nurturing their love of reading.
My goal with this project is to fill in the gaps in our library collection by providing missing books like Murtagh from The Inheritance Cycle and Children of Anguish and Anarchy.
These books will ensure that students don’t face the frustration of incomplete series, allowing them to continue their reading journeys seamlessly. I want to create an inviting and well-rounded library that supports their reading goals, encourages exploration of new series, and builds their confidence as independent readers.
What makes my students special is their passion for reading and their curiosity about the world around them. For many, the school library is their main source of books, and they eagerly await titles like Futureland: The Nightmare Hour and Meesh the Bad Demon to dive into. They are tenacious, often placing holds or requesting books they are eager to read. Their enthusiasm and determination to continue the stories that captivate them is why this project is so important.
