My Project

​​Building a passion for reading is one of my goals, and having books on hand for students to read is the only way to make this happen. The books included in this project will help me refresh our class library shelves with popular books that my students have been requesting.

Reading is a vital skill that influences academic success and personal growth.

Our current class library lacks newer, popular titles, but this project aims to add new books that reflect the interests of my students. These graphic novels, high-interest series, and contemporary fiction will attract students who may struggle with traditional texts and avid readers alike. New books in the classroom library creates a safe, tech free, inviting and engaging space where students can share recommendations, participate in book clubs, and discuss their favorite reads. With increased student engagement, reading in our classroom will lead to improved literacy skills and academic performance.

Investing in our class library is an investment in our students’ futures. With your support, we can create a vibrant reading community that empowers all students to discover the joy of reading and helps them thrive both in and out of the classroom. Thank you for considering our project!
