My Project

I teach a wonderful group of 4 and 5 year old Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students from a small community in the Bay Area. Having access to a calm down corner is such a wonderful asset for any early elementary school classroom.

The calming corner will be a designated space where my TK students can safely express all the emotions they are feeling and return back to learning with a calm mind and heart.

The calm down corner will help them to regain control independently and develop long-lasting, life skills. I would like to fill my calm down corner with various sensory and mindful materials to help each child find their inner calm.

Thank you so much for donating to our TK classroom! We really appreciate your kindness and generosity. My students are going to love this special safe haven.
