My Students

I teach in a large, suburban, public school district located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I work in a school with a diverse population which makes teaching fun and exciting. Each day my students come into the classroom ready to create their own original music. My students have build an exceptional collection of music, and they take pride in creating music. Their success is my success.

I love their vibrant energy, smiles on their faces, and their willingness to learn and to never give up! We are creating an environment where it's okay to make a mistake. This is a classroom that sets high expectations and never gives up on the students!

My Project

The digital piano will help the students by being able to hear playing examples in tune. Currently we have a piano that is dire need to be repaired and does not stay in tune longer then a few playing sessions.

The digital piano will also be used for the schools musicals.

The size of this piano makes it portable so that we can move it to another room when we do our spring musicals. In previous years we have had to move a very large and heavy digital piano up stairs where it could have been damaged. The size and weight of this piano will benefit the musical by being more portable.
