My Project

As an elementary school psychologist, I provide individualized and group counseling sessions, deliver social-emotional lessons, and support teachers in managing student behaviors and emotional regulation. To enhance the quality of my counseling and support services, I am seeking to expand my social-emotional library and toolkit with new materials.

I have carefully chosen a selection of books that will enrich and support the lessons and activities I create on managing anger, coping with anxiety and sadness, improving attention and focus, and fostering responsibility and empathy.

This year, we have the addition of two Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classes at our school, making it essential to find developmentally appropriate resources for these young learners.

Navigating complex emotions and developing crucial social-emotional skills can be challenging for students. By integrating fresh, engaging, and diverse materials into our curriculum, we can significantly boost student engagement and motivation. This approach helps students feel more comfortable participating in counseling and fosters positive associations with expressing their feelings in a supportive environment. Ultimately, this will enhance their overall learning experience and contribute to their emotional and social development.
