Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I aim to instill compassion in my students by incorporating engaging methods like compassionate literature, interactive games, writing/drawing activities.
Through these resources, students will learn to empathize with others' perspectives, especially during disagreements, helping them to respond more thoughtfully.
Understanding that compassion is crucial for fostering friendships and harmony, students will participate in role-playing exercises and discussions to explore compassionate actions and solutions in various scenarios. Additionally, we will implement a compassion jar, where students commit to performing one compassionate act daily and share their experiences, inspiring others to follow suit.
By actively engaging with these compassion-building activities and reflecting on their behavior changes, students will develop a deeper awareness of their actions and cultivate a habit of intentional compassion. Progress will be assessed through observations of their interactions and self-reflections on personal growth.
