Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having essentials in our classroom is important because they allow my students to actually complete the work. Having calculators, rulers, colors, etc gives them the option to the work in different ways. Every year I need new materials and as the year goes by, you can imagine the wear and tear on some of these items. Keeping my classroom filled with materials not only makes my life a bit easier, but it gives me the peace of mind of knowing I always have what I need.

It is difficult to only depend on the money from our school or district, so using Donors Choose is my first option.

I understand that as a school we have limited resources and it's basically impossible to give every teacher exactly what they need throughout the year. Knowing that there are people and companies that will help out teachers and their classrooms make me feel good inside.

This is my 6th year teaching and I have found out that every year I need new materials and sometimes due to the urgency I pay out pocket. Due to this reason, I try and use this resource (DonorsChoose) and take advantage of the opportunity so that I can always have what I need in my classroom.
