Fun and Funding With Volleyball!

Help me give my students volleyball equipment so we can learn a new sport and then host a family fundraiser!

My Project

Funding in education is always a struggle. There never seems to be enough resources to meet all the needs of our kids. But my students come to PE every day happy and so enthusiastic. They can never wait to see what we'll do, and they always make the best of whatever equipment we have to do it with.

Our Ed Fund is always looking for creative ways to raise much-needed money for our school, and volleyball is a sport that everyone can play -- so let's combine the two!

Volleyball is a sport that can be enjoyed by all levels of athletic ability together, and one that rewards more than just brute strength. Kids have to work together to get the ball over the net as a team, verbally call out commands to direct each other, and then get active as they jump to block and hit. It is a great sport to include everyone and get all kids playing together!

Then, once the kids have mastered the sport, we can host a family volleyball event to raise money for our school. Our school is always tight on resources, and our parent-led Ed Fund works so hard every year to find ways to raise money for needed supplies. Social activities where families donate in order to participate are a great tool, and a family volleyball event will be a super way to raise money and bring people together! It will foster family engagement and collaboration and support our school!
