Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher, my job is to always look to do better. I learn, not only from one year of teaching to the next, but from one period of teaching to the next.
I am always looking to improve myself as a teacher and the environment in which my students learn every day.
As important as it is to push my students to reach high academic standards, it is also important to give them opportunities to give their hardworking, exhausted brains a much-deserved break!
These games will allow me to host SEL sessions, specifically during tutorials and wellness days. I want to give my students the opportunity to relax and have fun. Playing these games together will also allow my students to socialize with one another, face-to-face, instead of through their phones. What a thought! Finally, although these games are fun, they will also prompt my students to use critical and strategical thinking. How fun!
