This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a librarian, I have the opportunity to see students of all ages. I can see the gap many of my students come with and would like the opportunity to help them. I would like to have "The Whole-Brain Child" books funded to bridge their gap. I would like the opportunity for all to learn and grow together. I would like to pursuit my students to grow aligned with the ILTexas Mission of building a strong mind, body, and character within each child.
This book will allow both teachers and students to have the same understanding, unite in vision, speak a common language regarding student behavior development both at school and at home.
Through group discussion, having the opportunity to share perspectives, struggles, and develop solutions to complex problems using the insight gained from this book study.
