Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students may be SMALL but they have BIG DREAMS! Many of them have never set foot in a classroom before and a majority of my students are English Language Learners who come from low-income backgrounds. However, even with daily challenges, each child is eager to learn and DREAM BIG!
Many students do not have learning opportunities outside of the classroom and the classroom has become a safe, fun, and exciting place to be, to learn, and to DREAM!
I want to provide my students who otherwise don't have much with the absolute best materials so I can teach across all learning levels and walks of life! My students truly love school and I love them! I want to set the stage for them to have the confidence to continue learning for years to come. With your generosity and help, they can have access to the very best materials they deserve but can't afford.
My students will use these number order puzzles to support number sense and order in math. They will also use the tactile alphabet puzzle during our ELA centers to strengthen their phonological awareness. CVC word puzzles and matching cards will also be a great way to reinforce skills taught during center time.
These materials will strengthen their math and literacy skills and provide them with a very strong foundation for years to come!
